David and I spent the entire day, Sunday (5th May) in Miryang. In the morning we headed straight to the Eoreum-gol cable car. The cable cars took us up Mt. Gaji. At the top we had a delicious picnic. The view was spectacular! After the picnic we headed back down the mountain on the cable cars. The view travelling down the mountain was really nice too. Everywhere is starting to become green, yippeeeee summer is coming! Next we went on a small hike to find Eoreum-gol, an ancient ice cave. This journey took us to a temple and some waterfalls. It was all very pretty. After this we headed to a pumpkin shaped watering hole. I definitely want to come back here in the peak of summer. In the evening on our way back home we decided to pop into down town Miryang as they were holding an Arirang traditional Korean singing festival. The festival was centered around the Miryang River. The bridges along the river and Yeongnamru Pavilion were all illuminated with colourful lights. This was very nice as we have never seen it before. The festival its self was very big. It had all the usual stalls plus many fairground rides, huge lanterns and a lot of decorations. After eating a pizza and listening to some singing we walked around the stalls before heading back to our little town, Changnyeong.
